Roskilde, Denmark - November 28, 2011 - IPtronics, an industry innovator and leading provider of high speed integrated circuits for parallel optical interconnects, announced today the appointment of Dr. Martin Rofheart as its Chairman of the Board. Dr. Rofheart brings significant industry experience and leadership to help guide the board as the company continues to experience increased demand for its parallel optics semiconductor solutions.

Dr. Rofheart held various senior executive roles in high technology companies focused in the optical, copper and wireless industry segments. Most recently, he was Senior-Vice President and General Manager of Analog and Mixed Signal Products for Gennum Corporation where he managed a 10Gb/s analog semiconductor products portfolio for the company. Prior to that, Dr. Rofheart held executive roles at Freescale Semiconductor and was CEO of XtremeSpectrum, Inc. He holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering.
